Hiland Doodles LLC
Health Warranty

-
Kimberly and/or Trent Wilson (Hiland Doodles LLC), hereafter referred to as Breeder, does hereby certify that, to the best of their knowledge, the dog sold is in good health and has current vaccinations. Breeder guarantees the puppy is in good health, has had, as a minimum, its first round of immunizations and has been de-wormed. The buyer has 72 hours from time of pickup to take the puppy to a licensed veterinarian for a physical examination. If the puppy is found to be in poor health, the buyer has the option of returning the puppy to Breeder, at buyer's cost, for a full refund. The buyer will provide to Breeder a written statement from a licensed veterinarian clearly stating defect or illness. If the puppy is not taken to a licensed veterinarian within the 72 hours from time of pickup, this section of the health warranty is void.

Breeder provides a lifetime warranty against the debilitating genetic diseases testable by Embark or similar genetic testing company. In the unlikely event this dog exhibits symptoms suspected to be caused by one of these debilitating genetic defects, the buyer must supply any requested veterinary records to Breeder within 72 hours of informing Breeder of the defect. Breeder has the right to require a second opinion from a veterinarian of the Breeder's choice at the Breeder's expense, or additional genetic testing performed at the Breeder's expense. If the puppy is euthanized or in any way disposed of, without a second opinion from the Breeder's veterinarian of choice, Part 2 of the health warranty is void. If the genetic disease is confirmed, the Breeder will reimburse buyer the original price paid for the dog to the Breeder, not including any travel/shipping costs.

Breeder warrants that this dog will remain free from severe hip/elbow dysplasia for the first 18 months of the dog’s life. If suspected, at the expense of the Buyer, the dog must have an x-ray provided by the Buyer’s licensed Veterinarian (with the dog’s microchip number confirmed) before the dog turns 18 months. Severe hip/elbow dysplasia must be confirmed and documented by the OFA foundation and the results are to be sent to Breeder’s vet and Breeder. If this dog is documented by OFA to have severe hip/elbow dysplasia with X-rays documented to be taken before the dog has turned 18 mths, the buyer will be reimbursed the price paid for the dog, excluding any and all travel/shipping costs. Genetic dysplasia is not guaranteed after the puppy turns 18 months as the puppy’s raising and the environment play a large part in the development of hip/elbow dysplasia. See the Buyers Responsibility page for recommendations to avoid developing hip/elbow dysplasia.

This warranty does not include:
-
Viral illnesses, infections, hypoglycemia, Clostridium, Coccidiosis or Guardia. These conditions will be ruled out during puppy’s veterinarian exam before going to their new home. If any of these conditions present themselves during puppy’s Veterinarian examination, treatment protocol will be administered and documentation will be made.
-
Hernias (such as umbilical cord hernia). This condition will be ruled out during puppy’s veterinarian exam. If this condition presents itself during puppy’s veterinarian examination, documentation will be made and a $125 credit towards your final adoption fee balance will be applied for recommended treatment protocol in the unlikely event of the hernia.
-
Improper bites. If this condition presents itself during puppy’s veterinarian examination, documentation will be made and buyer will have the option to continue with the purchase of puppy with a $250 discount with this known condition excluded from this guarantee, or have the puppy adoption deposit/reservation fee rolled to our next litter.
-
Any illness due to the ingestion of foreign objects, food, chemicals, or physical injury after pickup.
-
-
If the dog should die from a suspected congenital defect, an autopsy must be performed at Buyer's expense by a licensed veterinarian acceptable to the Breeder's own veterinarian. If the autopsy shows a congenital defect as the reason of the death, a written statement from the Buyer's veterinarian must be provided. Breeder will reimburse buyer the original price paid for the dog to the Breeder, not including travel/shipping costs. This section of the warranty is void in the event of an undetermined or inconclusive diagnosis.
-
Failure to have the dog spayed/neuter by 18 mths voids this warranty.
-
No warranties or guarantees, expressed or implied, are made under this contract except as stated.
-
This warranty is non-transferable.
